Gameplay
While gameplay in Grand Chase is primarily keyboard-driven, the game menu's interface is, by contrast, primarily mouse-driven, although some in-game key commands may be user-defined. Due to the combos and special attacks, the game has a feel that is similar to side-scrolling fighting games such as Street Fighter 2 or Double Dragon, while the appearance and design of the backdrops, as well as the characters and monster, puts the game in an anime-esque setting. While it is an action game, the designers took care to not make a "button masher".[4]
The game is free-to-play, where players need to earn currency known as Game Points (GP) from completing dungeon quests, individual missions, or defeating other players to buy better equipments or items, but there are some items that can only be purchased with real-world currency. In Grand Chase, players start off role-playing as one of three main heroines, and will be able to unlock more playable characters by completing specific missions. However, the player may freely switch among the characters he or she has unlocked between missions, each with their own specific equipment and experience level.

New York in the year 2072. How often we gamers have gone into virtual action in this cosmopolitan city, I can't say. Not enough anyway. In 'Goin' Downtown' you control the depressive policeman Jake in a New York that, in its pretty, futuristic cel-shading animation, makes the tax payers’ lives more difficult.
The skull drones, Jake hears the traffic bustling outside. He really feels like crap. So, nothing new there... Grumpily he turns on his teledoctor. The device asks him in a robot-like voice about his condition. “Just give me my damn pills...”, is all the thing gets to hear from him. Three antidepressants later he goes out, into the jungle of the metropolis. Outside advertising holograms, speeding-by taillights and, something of a change, a woman in a red dress lying on the ground await him. It is going to be a long day...
Jake is a real poor bastard. He has almost no dough, a broken heart, plenty of worries and he has a mysterious death to solve, which nobody wants to get involved in. No wonder, the deceased had a damned low tax status. She is not worth it, as far the big shots are concerned. Jake sees that differently. Fiercely determined to solve this case, Jake starts his own investigations and gets into a few hairy situations. Not that he doesn't know what to do. Adventure-like, Jake collects all sorts of stuff, combines objects and gets entrapped more and more in the dangerous schemes. At any time he can travel quickly and without difficulty via a city map, and apart from that Jake has the possibility to manually change between night and day. Depending on the time of day, you meet different people in different places. With a diary, the righteous policeman keeps track of the completed and forthcoming tasks.
Jake may be a brave guy, but eventually his pessimism becomes too much. Even if our lawman is a real daredevil, he often spouts dull comments and sayings. In addition, most of the time he sounds as if he got up on the wrong side of the bed with one hell of a hangover. The problems and puzzles are actually not too difficult, almost too easy for veterans. In return, you collect four or five objects in the same place and immediately have to combine and apply a whole load of stuff correctly so that the adventure can continue.

Based on several of the boroughs of New York City and parts of New Jersey, Liberty City, familiar to players of previous games in the series, has been entirely redesigned for GTA IV. Players can expect visible detail down to the weeds growing in the cracks in the sidewalk, cars and buildings of visibly different ages and a much greater level if verticality in the buildings and bridges that they are able to explore as Niko moves through the city streets. In addition, pedestrians in GTA IV are much more realistic. No longer simply moving cardboard cut-outs, these NPCs are intelligent, modern, human representations that laugh, cry, eat, drink, use cell phones and ATMs, and talking amongst themselves regardless of Niko’s interaction with them.
Gameplay
Historically GTA games have focused heavily on mission-based play, requiring successful completion of fixed tasks in order for players to progress through the game, but this has changed to a great extent in GTA IV. Players will experience an entirely new and exciting emphasis centred on the blending of on-mission and off-mission play, resulting not only in an increased sense of realism, but more interesting and unrestricted gameplay.

Aside from the car jacking and a detailed city environment here are the new features for GTA IV:
- Improved combat system - Now you can use cover and also a target lock system, which allows you to take out targets with greater ease and accuracy. Plus, you can engage in some hand-to-hand combat if you can't get your hands on a piece quick enough.

Multiplayer
Give Niko a rest and create your own multiplayer "hero." GTA has added multiplayer modes allowing you to take your creation out to play online in competitive, co-op, and free form modes. Competitive mode has you fighting against the cops, jacking cars, or racing to finish odd jobs. Co-op challenges you and your friends with various tasks including Hangman's NOOSE where you are responsible for escorting a wanted kingpin to a safe extraction point. Freeform lets you and 15 others lose on Liberty City. Use this mode to hit up the bar and play virtual darts versus each other or head out to the streets and set up your own drag races. If you can dream it, you can do it in Freeform mode.

I'm not going to beat around the bush. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas is the single best PC title I have ever played. It's larger than the biggest RPG, has more story than the heftiest adventure game, and has almost as many mini-games as Nintendo's Mario Party. Additionally, it has a production value that's second to none, boasts a faithfulness to '90s source material with an eerie accuracy, and provides more hours of entertainment than all the previous Grand Theft Autos combined. In short, it's a terrific unending masterpiece of a game -- and one that will never fall victim to an over-exaggeration of its lofty status. It's the defining piece of software for Sony's successful sophomore system, and it's almost impossible to imagine a PlayStation 2 library without it.
Now I realize that with a statement like that, I leave a lot of expectations on the table. Immediate questions from longtime GTA players (and haters) will no doubt surface regarding what kind of problems San Andreas must have. Does the framerate still stutter? Is pop-in and draw distance still an issue? Are there any collision quandaries or other graphics-related bugs? Are the sound effects still tame by other action game standards? Does the AI ever have stupid moments or not perform the way you'd want it to? And is it true that there's absolutely no form of online play whatsoever? To be honest, the answer to all those questions is a definite yes. But an even better question to ask (and one that has a lot more direct impact) is, "Do any of the issues explored above really detract from the overall experience?" In a word: No.
But how is that possible? Isn't that a significant number of concerns for one game to handle? Sure it may sound like the case when clumped together like that, but in practice it's almost completely unnoticeable. For starters, the frequencies at which the graphical hitches mentioned above appear in comparison to when they don't is so lopsided, that I'm left unaffected. Additionally, there's literally so much to experience in the single player game that the lack of online play isn't missed in the least, while the minor sound effect kinks and other presentational issues get completely dwarfed by everything else that the game manages to do right.
